The Giants
A new form of folk festival is the festival (“sagra”), the typical products of a place are cooked in different ways and they are offered to the tourists for few euros. It is also a good way to know the Calabrian cookery.
Zungri and tasting of typical products
This excursion will introduce us to the Calabrian countryside. Departure for Zungri, a town located about 571 meters at sea level, on the north side of Monte Poro. Zungri is one of the most interesting agricultural centers of this area.
Civita and Castrovillari
Departure for Corigliano and visit of the castle attributed to Roberto il Guiscardo in 1073,
Crotone and Le Castella
Crotone, was one of the most flourishing cities of Magna Graecia and center of culture
Reggio Calabria and Scilla
Departure to Scilla, the characteristic little town in the enchanting scenery of the Costa Viola. Here you will visit the old fishing village which is known as Chianalea. The second stop is Ruffo Castle and St. Rocco’s church.
Serra San Bruno and Pizzo
Departure for Serra San Bruno. On the way you will stop off to admire the Angitola Lake, which is an area with an inestimable natural value thanks to the presence of rare aquatic birds.
